From Stubbs and Burt, shoemakers.

Stuburt traces its roots back to 1860, when British shoemakers Stubbs and Burt began handcrafting footwear in the Manchester tradition. The workshop was devoted to a single thing: making the finest footwear by hand.

The craft that began here has carried the brand for more than 160 years.

Beyond the land. Into British sport.

In the early 20th century, Stuburt expanded beyond everyday footwear into British sport — yachting, rowing, ice skating. The same craftsmanship that built the brand's reputation in Manchester began reaching further afield.

Each new sport pushed the craft.

A British brand, in a British era.

The 1960s were a golden decade for British sport, culminating in England's World Cup victory at Wembley in 1966. Stuburt was part of the British footwear landscape of that era, producing specialist boots for the country's players and teams.

By the 1980s, Stuburt had turned its expertise toward golf — developing the Pro Am shoe and building relationships with leading players of the era.

The pivot into golf would define the next four decades. Within thirty years, it would take Stuburt to Major championships.
